Shri Sadguru Sai Baba Mandir of Edmonton
is a registered non profit
religious society, registered in Province
of Alberta in 2008, CANADA. Registration
No. 5413856211
The Society has the objective to spread
the teachings and philosophies (Shraddha
and Saburi) of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba
and also to encourage and develop the
young generation to follow the right
path of spirituality shown by Babaji.
Shri Shirdi Sai Baba's devotees in Edmonton
conducted the very first bhajan sandhya
of their beloved "Guru
Lord Sainath of Shirdi"
on the auspicious day of Vijay
Dashami, at a rented location
in the old Riverbend (Brookview Community
Hall, 5320, 143 Street, Edmonton) on
October 21, 2007. The puja started by
the putting up Baba's statue (brought
from Shirdi after abhishek) and lightning
the lamps.
Invoking
Lord Ganesha was done by chanting Vedic
mantras, followed by Baba's Lalkar.
All the 108 names associated with Baba
were recited and the devotees offered
their prayers by offering flowers to
their GURU. After fourteen months the
grand opening of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba
Mandir at Edmonton took place on December
12, 2008 on the auspicious Lord Dattatreya
Jayanti at newly leased space on 3036
106 street, Edmonton T6J 5M5.
All the rituals done in the Mandir (temple)
are similar to current rituals practice
in Shirdi Sai Baba Samadhi Temple in
Shirdi, India. |
